He was employed as a maintenance man with the Path Train at Journal Square in Jersey City. As a child, he served as an altar boy and was a member of the Boy Scouts. Michael was an avid bowler. He was predeceased by his parents, August and Joan Brauer. Michael is survived by his brother, Tom Brauer; aunt, Marie Scrufari and cousins, Cathy, Marie, Patricia, Billy, Raymond, John and Ann Marie.
