The Crimson Tide do face an interesting test this week.The Crimson Tide are a big 22.5-point favorites at home. Mississippi State does present an interesting challenge though.The Bulldogs have one of the most stout defenses in the SEC, and a talented dual-threat quarterback in Nick Fitzgerald. He is the leading rusher for No. 16 Mississippi State, but there are legitimate questions about his ability to beat Alabama through the air. He’s thrown for just 1,252 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions this season, and is just over 50-percent completions.ESPN has Alabama football as a huge favorite in this game, as you’d expect.FPI gives the Crimson Tide an 89.6-percent to win the game.This is actually the highest-ranked regular season game left on the schedule, as of now at least.Auburn, which Alabama faces to end the season in the Iron Bowl, is currently No. 24 in the country. The Crimson Tide have clinched the SEC West, and will face Georgia, currently No. 5, in the SEC Title Game on December 1.The game is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET.[ESPN]last_img read more
